If you cannot resolve a dispute with a trader amicably based in the EU, you may submit your complaint to the European Consumer Centre in your country of residence for further assistance. Unfortunately, not every complaint is solved amicably through the intervention of the ECC-Net. In such cases, there are other possibilities to resolve the dispute in an out-of-court manner, such as the EU ODR/ADR process. If the transaction was made using a VISA or credit/debit card, you could also raise a claim with the Bank using the Chargeback Procedure. Finally, if consumers wish to settle their dispute through legal proceedings, they can also apply for the European Small Claims Procedure, a simplified Court procedure for cross border small claims.
