The European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net) is currently conducting a Joint Project about the topic of booking holidays online. During 2015 the Network received various queries from consumers complaining that the price they finally paid or would have to pay for an online reserved flight, hotel or car was higher than the initial price indicated on the website.
Therefore if you as a consumer have already been in a similar situation, kindly spare a moment to share your valuable experience with us!
Your contribution will allow us to identify to what extent this incidence of increased prices for online travel services breaches European consumer law. The analysis of this subject is important in order to sustain the well-functioning of the single market, the development of European consumer law and ultimately to improve consumer’s awareness of their rights within the European digital single market.
